Lessons:  All lessons will be given on Fridays during the regular school day.  There are two bands:

• Senior Band and Junior Band.
• All returning students will perform in the Senior Band.

Rehearsals:  The Junior Band:  After 5 weeks of group instruction, students will form this year's Junior Band.  They will rehearse after school on Fridays, from 2:40 - 3:15 pm.  The planned first date of the first Junior Band rehearsal is October 17, 2011.

The Senior Band will rehearse Friday mornings before school.  The first rehearsal is September 16, 2011 at 7:30 am sharp.  All students must be in the band room no later than 7:25 am.

Please drop your child off in a timely manner.  This is part of your child's commitment, and is only fair to the entire band.  Recurring late students are subject to enrollment review and dismissal.

Uniform:       When the Band performs in concert/contest/etc. ALL students will wear:  

• Shirt:        White dress shirt
• Slacks:      Black dress slacks.  No denims/cords/cargos/etc.
• Shoes:      Black dress shoes.  No athletic/gym/running/etc. type shoes

***Please take note of the uniform items and obtain anything you may need prior to our first (Christmas) concert.  All Band members must be in appropriate uniform to perform.

Proposed Performance Dates: 

• Christmas Concert - December 14, 2011
• Solo Contest - January 21, 2012
• Band Contest - March 3, 2012
• Spring Concert - May 15, 2012
